SPATIAL : BOURSES de mobilité recherche en France (1 à 3 mois)

Dans le cadre de stratégie de coopération scientifique, l'Ambassade de France en Belgique met en œuvre en 2024 un programme de bourses pour financer des séjours de recherche vers la France afin d’accélérer les meilleurs projets autour du spatial menés entre la France et la Belgique.

Le séjour de recherche devra s’inscrire dans le cadre du soutien ou du développement d’une nouvelle coopération entre un laboratoire français et un laboratoire belge dans les domaines du spatial.

Il offrira à un/e doctorant/e, post doctorant/e ou jeune chercheur/se du partenaire belge la possibilité de séjourner un mois dans le laboratoire du partenaire français. La mission devra impérativement se terminer au plus tard le 31 décembre 2024.

Dans le cadre du séjour en France, le boursier du laboratoire belge bénéficiera des avantages suivants :
- Bourse pour un séjour d'une durée d'1 à 3 mois (1 704 € net/ mois)
- Accès à des hébergements à prix avantageux
- Assurance santé

Les frais de voyage entre la Belgique et la France seront pris en charge par l'Ambassade de France.

Critères d’éligibilité :
- Le séjour de recherche doit être réalisé par un doctorant, postdoc ou jeune chercheur (moins de 5 ans après la thèse) d’un laboratoire belge ;
- Il doit s’inscrire dans le cadre du développement d’une nouvelle coopération de recherche entre la France et la Belgique dans le domaine du spatial ;
- Une attention particulière sera portée aux projets avec une ouverture européenne et qui préparent une demande de fonds européens (Horizon Europe…) ;
- La mission devra impérativement se terminer au plus tard le 31 décembre 2023.

Les candidatures seront examinées sur la base des documents suivants :
- Perspectives des réalisations / programme du séjour de recherche (pas plus de 1 page)
- CV du candidat (1 page)
- CV du professeur du laboratoire français encadrant le candidat
- Lettre d'invitation du directeur du laboratoire français
- Lettre de recommandation du directeur du laboratoire belge

Cette bourse n’est pas cumulable avec le PHC Tournesol et les bourses post PHC Tournesol de l’Ambassade.

In the framework of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the French Embassy in Belgium and its partners have set up a program to strengthen Franco-Belgian ties in the priority sector of Space, which will be marked by two high points : one in Belgium (a night of debate of ideas and an exploratory mission of researchers and entrepreneurs of the secotr) and one in Toulouse, France, in the run-up to the EAIE exhibition. These events aim to bring together players in research, innovation, industry and policy makers to create new synergies.

In the continuity of these initiatives, the Embassy of France in Belgium is pleased to announce its grants program to finance research stays in France in order to accelerate the best projects in space sector carried out between France and Belgium.

The research stay must be part of the development of a new cooperation between a French laboratory and a Belgian laboratory in the fields of space. It will offer a doctoral student, post-doctoral student or young researcher from the Belgian partner the opportunity of staying one month in the laboratory of the French partner. The mission must imperatively end no later than December 31, 2024.

Within the framework of the stay in France, the grant holder from the Belgian laboratory will benefit from the following advantages
- Grant for the stay (1 704 € net/month)
- Access to accommodation at reduced price
- Health insurance

Travel costs between Belgium and France are not covered by the French Embassy. However, the transfer between Paris and the provincial city of the research stay is covered by the French government grant.

Eligibility criteria :
- The research visit must be carried out by a PhD student, postdoc or young researcher (less than 5 years after the thesis) from a Belgian laboratory,
- The research stay must be part of the development of a new cooperation between a French laboratory and a Belgian laboratory in the fields of space,
- Particular attention will be paid to projects with a European focus and which are preparing an application for European funds (Horizon Europe, etc.),
- The mission must be completed by 31 December 2023 at the latest.

Applications will be examined on the basis of the following documents
- Prospects of the achievements / programme of the research stay (not more than 1 page)
- CV of the applicant (1 page)
- CV of the professor of the French laboratory supervising the candidate
- Invitation letter from the director of the French laboratory
- Recommendation letter from the director of the Belgian laboratory

There is no deadline for this call: applications will be processed on a rolling basis until the available funds are exhausted.

This grant cannot be combined with the PHC Tournesol and post-PHC grants from the Embassy.
